President

Ryan Wehner

Ryan Wehner is the President and Managing Member of Compass Multifamily. Previously he
founded Wehner Multifamily in 2008 where he began managing one apartment community and
grew it to managing over 200 apartment communities with over 25,000 units as of August 2019.
In August of 2019 the company was sold to a Private Equity firm. Under Ryan’s ownership, the
company grew organically primarily through “word-of-mouth”. In addition to management,
Wehner renovated over 10,000 units. Ryan Wehner has worked extensively with Fannie Mae,
Freddie Mac, CMBS, and bank mortgaged properties.
At Compass, Ryan oversees and directs business development, enhancements within various
proprietary software solutions, and operational processes. Ryan is a multifamily industry leader
in DFW and Oklahoma and often participates in real-estate podcasts and is a panelist at real
estate-related conferences.
Ryan is a graduate of UC Santa Barbara, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in
business and economics. He is a licensed Texas and Oklahoma real estate broker and is in good
standing. Ryan Wehner has participated in various community and charitable organizations
including Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), Union Gospel Mission, and the Knights of
Columbus.

COO

Fernando Maraslioglu

Fernando Maraslioglu is the Chief Operating Officer for Compass Multifamily. He served as
COO of Wehner multifamily until successfully selling the company to a private equity group in
August of 2019. Fernando’s gritty entrepreneurial mindset allowed him to help transform the
company from a small family business to a major industry player - the company grew organically
from 1,000 units to over 25,000 units. With his support and stewardship, Wehner Multifamily
disrupted the status quo and raised industry standards through new and innovative technology for
property management, as well as through an emphasis on a “client-first” culture.
Following the closing of the sale, Fernando transitioned to Business Development Officer until
August 2022.
At Compass Multifamily, Fernando oversees the company’s processes, initiatives, and team
members at the corporate office, as well as manages the key business functions. Fernando
develops management strategies with an emphasis on supporting the operations team and
ownership groups. Fernando holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major in
Finance & Accounting, cum laude, from the University of Texas at Dallas. He is fluent in
Spanish.

EVP of Operations

Allan Tamez

Allan Tamez is the Senior Vice President of Operations at Compass Multifamily. His
professional career started at Woolworth and Tiendas Del Sol where he was the leader in the
implementation of a new retail software nationwide. Thereafter Allan worked for Cuauhtemoc
Moctezuma, at the time the world’s second largest Alcohol distributor, where he started as an
Administrative Supervisor and moved up to Manager of Distribution.
In 2007, Allan left his home country and a prestigious job to ensure his family was safe from the
violence engulfing Mexico. Soon after he arrived, he began working in the multifamily
management business, wherein he successfully transformed the operations of an owner’s 1,200
unit portfolio. He brought the portfolio from the brink of foreclosure to a successful profitable
disposition.
In 2014, Allan began his journey with Wehner Multifamily. At the time the company had 4,000
units under management. His focus was on the implementation of new systems and procedures
while creating an extremely efficient team of operations. Allan helped the company grow to
25,000 units under management in 5 years. He oversaw and managed the expansion of the team
from 100 employees to over 1,000 employees.
At Compass Multifamily, Allan is responsible for leading the Operation’s team of directors,
regional managers, maintenance directors, and supervisors. His day-to-day tasks include
coordinating the daily operations such as due diligence, onboarding of properties, hiring, client
relations, and performance of the staff and the properties. Allan develops and creates processes
and procedures to help the operations be more efficient and effective based on the needs of each
property. Allan holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from the Universidad Del
Norte.
